Simon Hasan stoneware vessels

The distinctive two-tone beer flagon is an extinct part of Britain’s past, and provides the inspiration behind this collection of vessels, each made using two methods of casting.

The characteristic glazing of the original is referenced through the use of a slip-cast stoneware body, complemented by an upper section in heavy cast metal. Each vase has a corresponding decorative tag inspired by the traditional horse-brass.

Materials: Slip-cast stoneware, cast iron/gun-metal bronze/bronze, leather
