Vase Family: 3rd Generation
The third generation of Hasan’s growing Vase Family sees a more brutal approach in which boiled leather is paired with mirror-polished brass and stainless-steel.
The leather is barely controlled, instead it is allowed to find its own crude shapes and forms, which are offset by sheet metals. The two materials are joined by metal fittings.
This series of 13 vases were commissioned by Johnson Trading Gallery and are now available through
Moss Gallery, New York.
Materials: Boiled leather, polyurethane resin, mirror-polished brass/stainless steel/mill-finish stainless steel.
